National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is the nation's primary laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development (R&D). The NREL Visitors Center showcases technologies that can save energy, improve the environment and lower the cost of energy bills. Visitors of all ages can take a self-guided tour through the interactive exhibit hall and learn about energy from the sun, wind, biomass, and other sources of renewable energy. We also offer educational programs for children, teens, and adults free of charge. These programs provide a fun and engaging way to explore renewable energy and energy efficiency concepts and applications in an interactive environment. The laboratory's scientists and researchers support critical market objectives to accelerate research from scientific innovations to market-viable alternative energy solutions.
