Molly Brown Summer House Museum, Gardens & Event Center
This Museum & Event Center is located just minutes from downtown Denver and the Foothills. Built in 1897 by "Molly" and J.J. Brown, this beautiful Victorian home is a wonderful gathering place for all types of events: Family Events,Social Gatherings, Weddings & Receptions, Corporate Events, and Historic Tours, Luncheons & Teas. Born the daughter of poor Irish immigrants, Margaret Brown became a legend in her own time and was immortalized as the "Unsinkable Molly Brown". This two-story buttered brick home was this indomitable woman's celebrated 450 acre country retreat. <br> <br>In 1928 the Fehlmann family purchased the house and five generations of the family have lovingly continued to maintain it. Granddaughter Mary Rose Shearer provides personalized tours of the historic home, an elegant tea room and choice menus for brunch, lunch and dinner. The main floor includes four historic, Victorian style rooms including the parlor, library, country room and dining room. Each room features high ceilings, original woodwork and period furnishings. For private catered events, our country kitchen may be used by your caterer. In addition to the historic house with its inviting wrap-around porch, there are the beautiful grounds situated on one acre on the corner of Wadsworth and Yale.
