MOVIE IN THE GROVE: THE MARK OF ZORRO!
Hiwan Homestead Museum and Jefferson County Historical Society will present the second annual “Movie in the Grove” this summer in historic Heritage Grove, located at 4208 S. Timbervale Dr., Evergreen. On July 21, “the Mark of Zorro” with Douglas Fairbanks will be shown outdoors at 8:30 P.M. This classic silent film marked the beginning of Fairbanks’ career as the silver screen’s greatest swashbuckler. Fairbanks, a Denver native, often visited Evergreen and is said to have spent his honeymoon there. The movie will be accompanied with live music by famed pianist and jazz musician Hank Troy. The film is free to the public and snacks, popcorn and drinks will be sold during the showing. This “Movie in the Grove” is part of the “Arts Alive” celebration of Evergreen’s art and cultural community. For more information contact Hiwan Homestead Museum at 720-497-7650.
